Accounts Payable Leader

Our client, a rapidly expanding private equity-backed organisation, is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Leader to join their finance team. This new position has been created to bring on board a dedicated professional to manage the Accounts Payable function, lead a team of AP Clerks, and drive process improvements.
About the Role
As the Accounts Payable Leader, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the purchase ledger process. Leading a team of AP Clerks, you will handle a high volume of invoices, build strong relationships with suppliers, and support the business in maintaining high standards of efficiency and accuracy. A core focus of the role is team development, ensuring that your team members are continuously growing through mentoring and training.
_Key Responsibilities: _
- Manage and mentor a team of Purchase Ledger Clerks, promoting a culture of growth and development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, resolving queries and disputes in a timely manner.
- Work cross-functionally to support the business's supplier onboarding processes.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process improvement to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
