Our Client is a distinguished legal firm specialising in international law, is seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join their small and friendly team.

With client meetings in person and via video and telephone, the team are looking for an individual with excellent communication, organisational skills and attention to detail to join them and provide a great customer experience for their clients.

With over fifteen dedicated staff members, they pride themselves on delivering exceptional legal services while fostering a supportive and collaborative work environment.

Your Role:

As a Legal Secretary, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our legal team. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing comprehensive secretarial and administrative support.
  • Preparing, formatting, and proofreading legal documents and correspondence.
  • Managing diaries, scheduling appointments, and organizing meetings.
  • Handling incoming calls and emails with professionalism and promptness.
  • Maintaining and updating client files, both electronically and in hard copy.
  • Assisting with billing and invoicing processes.
  • Conducting legal research and aiding in case preparation.
  • Liaising with clients, courts, and other legal professionals.
  • Ensuring compliance with legal procedures and confidentiality protocols.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience as a Legal Secretary or in a similar role within a law firm.
  • Exceptional typing and transcription skills with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and a proactive approach to work.
  • Knowledge of legal terminology and procedures.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
  • A friendly and approachable demeanour with a strong client service focus.
