We are seeking a Technical Specialist with a strong technical background, attention to detail, and a drive to improve quality and processes. This role is integral to managing customer orders from sales to order entry and providing expert support to the sales process.
Day to Day of the role:
- Handle all customer orders from sales to order entry, managing the process and continuously evaluating and improving configuration processes.
- Support the sales process as the resident expert, assisting with customer enquiries by identifying technical specifications, drawings, and providing answers.
- Configure new orders, identify relevant sub-systems, and select compatible sub-assemblies.
- Identify incompatible or missing sub-assemblies, defining engineering requirements for suitable system design.
Potential areas for growth:
- Create, edit, or output technical drawings and schemes for customer enquiries and manufacturing.
- Generate computer-rendered images for sales and marketing purposes.
- Investigate non-conformance issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective measures.
- Handle engineering change requests, resolving issues in partnership with design engineers.
- Create product or user documentation and continuously improve ECR/NCR processes.
- Employ lean principles to deliver cost savings, quality improvement, and reduce product lead-times.
- Evaluate new processes, plant, and equipment to support quality and delivery improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Technical acumen with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to read and understand technical schemes and system diagrams.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Organised, logical, and able to self-manage time and responsibilities.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional quality and improving processes.
- Strong computer literacy.
