We are seeking an HR Assistant with a passion for recruitment and human resources within the education sector. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR environments, particularly in managing recruitment processes and maintaining HR policies. This role requires a proactive individual who can work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to safeguarding and equality.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Work within an HR environment, handling recruitment processes from start to finish.
  • Operate independently within set procedures, requiring minimal guidance.
  • Maintain HR policies and processes, including file management and monitoring sickness absence.
  • Ensure compliance with GDPR and manage sensitive information with discretion.
  • Utilise SIMS for administrative tasks and maintain accurate records.
  • Support the HR Office by managing workload proactively and efficiently.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Level 2 in English and Maths or equivalent.
  • Experience in an HR or recruitment environment, preferably within the Education sector.
  • Knowledge of HR policies, GDPR, and School Teachers' terms and conditions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office packages including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage a reactive and wide-ranging workload.
  • Effective communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
  • A professional approach with a high regard for confidentiality.
  • Ability to respond flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances.
