Reed Education is in search of enthusiastic and skilled Science Teachers for permanent positions within esteemed schools across the Lewisham, Lambeth, and Southwark boroughs. Day to Day of the Role:
- Teach engaging Science lessons to students up to GCSE or A-Level, in line with the UK curriculum.
- Plan and prepare educational materials, lesson plans, and practical experiments.
- Evaluate student progress, provide constructive feedback, and set goals to promote academic success.
- Maintain effective classroom management to ensure a safe and productive learning environment.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop innovative teaching techniques and resources.
- Engage with parents and guardians during meetings to discuss student progress and strategies for improvement.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
- Proven experience in teaching Science subjects to GCSE or A-Level students.
- Commitment to working a minimum of three days per week.
- Demonstrated ability to manage classroom dynamics and facilitate an engaging educational experience.
- A history of positive observation ratings, with ‘Good' or ‘Outstanding' outcomes.
- Preparedness to undergo necessary compliance checks, including Enhanced DBS and employment references.
