Financial Controller

The Financial Controller will oversee all aspects of the day-to-day financial management of the business, in addition to fulfilling all legal requirements required by external parties such as HMRC and Companies House.
This is a varied role and you will be responsible for providing and developing a full system of financial control, reporting, insight and forecasting to the Leadership Team.

Description

  • Preparation and control of monthly management information
  • Preparation of annual financial statements and management of the year end audit process
  • Preparation of VAT, Corporate Tax, and any other local tax returns.
  • Preparation and presentation of quarterly board reporting, and other Ad-Hoc reporting as needed.
  • Leading with budgeting and forecasting for the company.
  • Identifying opportunities for and driving process improvement and efficiencies across all finance activities.
  • Liaising and building effective relationships with various stakeholders both internally and externally
  • Manage multi-currency transactions and reporting.
  • Collaborate closely with the Finance Director to support strategic financial decisions.
  • Provide financial oversight for industrial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial data.

Profile

A successful Financial Controller should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA or QBE
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and accounting processes.
  • Sound and up to date knowledge of UKGAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
  • Excellent Excel modelling skills
  • Multi-Currency experience
  • Attention to detail is key
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Manufacturing experience would be desirable

Job Offer

  • An attractive salary package in the region of £50,000 - £60,000 DOE.
