The Financial Accountant plays a crucial role in providing financial insights and accounting support. This role is pivotal in maintaining the financial integrity of the department and driving transparency across the business.

Description

  • Monthly management accounts.
  • Annual statutory accounts, including managing the statutory audit.
  • Annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting.
  • Monthly cash flow reporting and forecasting.
  • Annual corporation tax computation.
  • Accurate and timely submission of VAT and Intrastat reporting for all relevant territories.
  • Implementation and monitoring of procedures, controls and standards for financial reporting so that all

transactions are accurately and promptly recorded.

  • Leading a team of 2 accounts assistants, ensuring that the ledgers are maintained in a coordinated, effective

and timely manner.

  • Liaising with relevant internal and external personnel to resolve any problems arising in a timely manner.
  • Maintaining and, as necessary, refining the finance processes and cycles (continuous improvement).

Profile

A successful Financial Accountant should have:

  • Appropriate professional qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
  • Proven track record of success
  • Extensive knowledge of financial ledgers and procedures.
  • Knowledge of UK statutory requirements.
  • Strong Excel skills (look-ups, pivot tables, etc).
