Randstad Education are assisting a Primary school in Batley in recruiting an Early Years Teaching Assistant on a full time basis. The role is to start September - December 2024 with the opportunity to become permanent for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the early years educators in planning and delivering engaging and age-appropriate learning activities.
  • Provide individualised support to children with diverse learning needs, ensuring that all children can fully participate in classroom activities.
  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment where children feel valued and supported.
  • Collaborate effectively with the early years team to assess children's progress and implement targeted interventions where necessary.
  • Support children with personal care tasks such as toileting and dressing, in accordance with safeguarding guidelines.
  • Establish positive relationships with parents and caregivers, providing regular feedback on children's progress and development.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young children, preferably in an early years setting.
  • Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2 or 3 in Childcare and Education, or equivalent.
  • A genuine passion for early years education and a commitment to supporting the holistic development of young children.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and a commitment to promoting the welfare and well-being of children.
