Service: 4-Bed Children's Service specialising in Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

Working Pattern: 2 Days On, 4 Days Off (including Sleep-in Duties)

If so, our client has an exciting opportunity for you to join their dedicated team as a Senior Residential Support Worker.

About Our Client: Our client provides a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment for children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties (EBD). Their goal is to help each individual achieve their full potential through tailored care plans and therapeutic interventions.

Role Overview: As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day care and development of the young people in the service. You will work on a rota basis, 2 days on and 4 days off, with sleep-in duties required as part of the role. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing high-quality care and support to the children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Leading and supporting a team of residential support workers, acting as a role model and mentor.
  • Implementing and reviewing individual care plans and risk assessments.
  • Promoting positive behaviour and managing challenging situations effectively.
  • Organising and participating in activities and outings.
  • Liaising with families, schools, and external agencies.
  • Ensuring all documentation and records are accurately maintained.

Requirements:

  • Level 3 qualification in Children and Young People.
  • Proven experience working with children and young people, particularly those with EBD.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle challenging situations with sensitivity.
  • A full UK driver's license.
