Reception / Admin Assistant

Our client who are based in Reading are currently recruiting for a Reception / Admin Assistant to join their team. This role is a very busy and varied position so the successful candidate must be confident to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • Location: Reading, fully office based
  • Working Hours: Monday - Friday, 9am - 5.30pm
  • Salary - £24k - £26k depending on experience

As the Reception / Admin Assistant, you will be responsible for:

  • Answering & filtering calls/door entry buzzer to verify visitors.
  • Greeting occasional customers & visitors
  • Checking & updating customer details and sending out new customer forms, where applicable.
  • Entering sales orders & invoices in Sage 50 Accounts Software
  • Printing delivery notes and filing returned delivery notes
  • Printing, emailing, and filing invoices.
  • Matching delivery notes/collection notes to their relevant invoices
  • Arranging courier collections via online portal
  • Taking online payments via online platform
  • General filing - purchase invoices/delivery notes
  • Stocking & loading photocopier with paper
  • Re-stocking refreshments/cleaning materials/stationery/first-aid boxes
  • Coffee Machine - making coffee for Directors, Visitors, Managers as required.
  • Loading/unloading dishwasher
  • Other duties as maybe required

The successful Reception / Admin Assistant will have the following related skills / experience:

  • An excellent and confident telephone manner is essential
  • Proven track record of working in a busy administration role.
  • Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel & Outlook
  • Ability to work unsupervised and on own initiative, quickly and calmly under pressure.
