RES Credit Specialist - Nottingham

As a Credit Specialist in the 3rd Party Debt Team you'll play a critical role in ensuring our financial health by recovering outstanding debts through third-party agencies including Litigation and Debt Collection Agencies. You'll be responsible for managing the debt sale process, liaising with external agencies, and monitoring recovery performance.

Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

  • Debt Sale Management: Oversee the sale of debt portfolios to third-party agencies, ensuring optimal pricing and terms.
  • Agency Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with external debt collection agencies.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track and analyse recovery performance, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Third party contact: Resolve queries from our Third Party Partners, support our customers through a litigation Journey as well as our internal insolvency process.

It would be great if you had:

  • Previous customer service experience (don't worry if you're new to energy, we'll provide full training)
  • Experience in debt collection

  • Competitive Salary: £24,195 - £26,010 per annum, dependent on experience

Job Details:

  • Full-time: 37 hours per week

Please note:
If you are invited to a discovery day, this will be held at our Nottingham hub. If you are successful in your application, our initial 8 week training will also be held at our Nottingham hub. You will therefore be expected to commute 4 times a week during this period. The start date for this role is 13th January 2025, please do not apply if you cannot make this start date and commit to eight weeks of training without annual leave.
