Area Sales Manager - South

Just Recruitment is supporting a world-wide construction materials manufacturer, looking to add an Area Sales Manager (covering the South of England) to their successful and established team.

The key purpose of this role is to drive sales and grow the business in both, the retail and residential markets. You will be responsible for developing new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and providing excellent customer service.

Key duties include:

Approach building materials specialist contractors and decision makers to understand their needs.

Work across a range of construction products, understanding each one in detail.

Identify business opportunities by approaching projects of various sizes and engaging with contractors, architects, decision makers, and end users.

Develop and maintain relationships with construction industry specialist contractors, architects, and decision makers.

Competent in MS Office systems and proficient in using CRM systems.

Introduce products and systems, conducting product demonstrations and CPD presentations for potential clients.

Work collaboratively with customers to determine their needs and recommend suitable products.

Meet and exceed sales targets and objectives.

Prepare and submit quotations, negotiate effectively, and close business deals.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends, products, and technologies.

Candidate requirements:

8 years of experience in construction sales or similar industry

Experience in Construction materials

A proven sales background, with measurable success

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Construction and building materials knowledge is a plus

This is a home based role, travelling to customers on a regular basis as well as attending meetings and product training at the UK head office as required.
