Salary:30,000-35,000 + Car allowance

Are you ready to take on a new challenge in a dynamic, fast-paced environment? Restore Datashred, the UK's leading provider of secure shredding services, is looking for a dedicated HR Consultant to join our team on a 9-month fixed-term contract. This role offers flexibility in location, as you can be based at any of our sites across the UK, with some travel required.

As an HR Consultant, you will play a key role in driving our people strategy, particularly in the area of Employee Relations (ER), ensuring our teams are motivated and empowered to succeed.

In this role, you will take the lead on managing Employee Relations cases, working closely with managers to resolve issues effectively and efficiently. You will provide expert advice across various HR functions, including performance management and recruitment, while ensuring that our policies and procedures align with the needs of the business during this maternity cover.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage Employee Relations cases, delivering timely and effective resolutions
  • Provide HR guidance and coaching to managers on performance management, recruitment, and policy matters
  • Support absence management and liaise with Occupational Health where required
  • Provide accurate and insightful management information (MI) to support business decision-making
  • Advise on organisational restructuring and redundancy processes
  • Work alongside People Services to enhance the employee experience and manage key HR activities

Contribute to HR projects and cross-functional initiatives

ABOUT YOU

  • CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) preferred
  • Strong experience in handling complex Employee Relations cases
  • Excellent coaching skills, with a collaborative approach to giving and receiving feedback
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Highly organised with great attention to detail and planning abilities
  • Proactive, commercially-minded, and adept at resolving challenges swiftly
