We are seeking a dedicated Work Experience Coordinator to join a well-respected trust in Croydon. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering a robust careers education program that aligns with our school's objectives. This role is pivotal in coordinating meaningful work experience placements for students that complement their career aspirations.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive careers education program in line with the school's objectives.
- Coordinate and secure work experience placements for students, ensuring they are relevant and beneficial to their career goals.
- Provide individual career advice and guidance to students, assisting them in understanding their options for the future.
- Establish and nurture partnerships with local businesses, organisations, and industry professionals to create work experience opportunities.
- Organise and host career fairs, invite guest speakers, and conduct workshops to broaden students' perspectives on various career paths.
- Stay informed about current labour market trends, career opportunities, and further education pathways.
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff, parents, and external stakeholders to enhance the career development services provided to students.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in career guidance or a similar role within an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of the current job market and various career pathways.
- Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively advise and support students.
- A proactive approach to organising events and career-related activities.
