Credit Controller

We are working closely with a Northallerton based business who are looking to employ a full time Credit Controller into their team. You will be reporting to the Finance Manager and will be working along side a team of 5 in the office.

The main function of the role will be Credit Control, however there will be additional duties as required by the business that may include assisting team members in their absense or managing and maintaining the company financial records.

The responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Processing accounts payable and receivable transactions
  • Raising credit notes and miscellaneous invoices
  • Accurately process cash, checks, charge card payments and credit account payments in line with the company cash handling procedures
  • Preparing invoices for the relevant parties on a daily basis
  • Maintaining and updating the aged debt records
  • Assisting in reconciling financial statements
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc tasks as required

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Experience in a similar position where you can competently complete the above duties
  • Be AAT L2,3,4 qualified or working towards them
  • Confidently be able to navigate and use Sage packages
  • Work as part of a team and actively demonstrate a willingness to support and achieve the overall business objectives

This is a fully office based role with working hours of 8am - 5pm (Monday to Thursday) with an early finish on a Friday, 8am - 4pm. Progression and growth opportunities are available and support will be provided.
