We are seeking an Accountant who is keen, enthusiastic, hardworking, and motivated. This role is ideal for someone with strong analytical, organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, who also has a keen eye for detail and numerical aptitude.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts.
- Contribute to year-end audit preparations and perform monthly reconciliations.
- Generate reports and metrics for financial analysis.
- Engage in forecasting and variance analysis, as well as overhead analysis and costings.
- Provide general IT support, including routine tasks and troubleshooting.
- Utilise MS Office and gain experience with industry-standard accounting packages.
- Learn and understand the main software products used by the accounts team: Sage Line 50, Brewman, and Opus Retail Systems.
- Help develop the procurement process, including vendor selection and negotiation.
- Maintain accurate records for purchases, pricing, and other important data.
- Review existing contracts and agreements to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Support the Accounts Team with reporting and analysis.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Solid experience as an Accountant
- Strong analytical and organisational skills.
- Excellent communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Attention to detail and numerical aptitude.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Experience with or willingness to learn industry-standard accounting packages.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
