Position: Freight Forwarder
Location: Leeds, UK
Salary: £27,000 - £35,000 (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the import and export of goods from various global locations.
- Coordinate collection with selected transportation providers.
- Work closely with clients, branch offices, international agents, and transport companies to ensure seamless operations.
- Deliver excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and providing regular updates.
- Monitor shipment progress, manage invoicing, and handle pre-alerts from overseas offices and agents.
- Complete Customs entries as required.
- Supervise shipments until final delivery.
- Handle job costing and invoicing processes.
Requirements:
- At least 2 years' experience in a UK-based freight forwarding company.
- Familiarity with import and export operations, including air, road, or ocean freight.
- In-depth knowledge of customs clearance processes.
- Proficient in freight software like Cargowise, Multifreight, etc.
- Strong customer service skills.
