Paediatric Palliative Care Physiotherapist (part time)

Our client runs a beautiful children's hospice located on the picturesque Vale of Glamorgan coastline. Covering South, East and West of Wales they offer a beautiful, newly refurbished working environment set in idyllic ground a short distance from the metropolitan area of Cardiff.

They have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join their established Physical Therapies Team within the hospice and in the community.

About the role

The role is responsible in delivering Paediatric Physiotherapy to children in receipt of care services. The skilled practitioner would be expected to develop, implement and review bespoke physiotherapy plans for children aged from birth to 18 years, delivering a wide range of specialised and effective treatment techniques and modalities. These will including respiratory care, postural management, and aquatic therapy.

Hours for the role are 22.5 hours. Please note that this role requires some flexibility and on occasion, may be required to work a weekend or evening. Our client is happy to discuss this and would provide as much notice as the circumstances would allow. Hours can be worked across the week upon discussion.

About you

The role holder will be responsible for supporting the professional development of the hospice care team and contributing to their competency programme by planning and delivering regular training and assessing skills in respiratory care, airway clearance, and postural care. the postholder will play a pivotal role in reviewing and implementing relevant risk assessments and policies and contributing to hospice audits and clinical governance activity.
