Housing Support Worker

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Housing Support Worker to join our client's team, supporting young people aged 16-24. In this role, you will provide guidance and assistance to help young individuals transition to independent living and achieve their personal goals.

This is a part-time position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide practical support and advice to young people in areas such as housing, education, employment, and health.
  • Assist clients in developing life skills, such as budgeting, cooking, and managing a household.
  • Develop and implement individualised support plans tailored to each client's needs.
  • Facilitate access to community resources and services, including healthcare, education, and employment opportunities.
  • Build positive relationships with young people, encouraging confidence and self-reliance.
  • Conduct regular assessments to monitor progress and adjust support plans as necessary.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals and agencies to ensure comprehensive support.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a housing or support role.
  • Knowledge of the challenges faced by young people transitioning to independence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work some evenings, weekends or sleep-ins, if required.

Desirable:

  • Relevant qualifications in social work, youth work, or a related field.
  • Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality issues.

Essential:

  • Full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle.
