This role is the application technical lead for cloud-based and on-premises solutions, providing expertise in delivering PaaS-based (platform as a service) and IaaS services. Developing data structures and business logic services required by digital front ends and off the shelf solutions. Provide tactical and strategic solutions alike, with existing technologies, whilst being able to keep abreast of the ever-changing landscape for new products, functions, and capabilities.
As part of the Application Delivery function, the role will report to the Head of hosting and application services and will be responsible for leading and delivering global digital solutions to a wide range of departments across the company in conjunction with vendors and managed service providers.
Role and responsibilities
- The point person responsible for advising the business partners and their business community on the capabilities of this area of expertise and guide the development of requirements for fit-for-purpose solutions.
- Design, implement and test fully documented cloud software components to ensure solutions are secure, user friendly and effective while minimising cost to the business.
- Governance of applications and automations to ensure they align with Mundipharma standards, are supportable and fit for purpose
- Research, assess and justify new solutions to fulfil business needs, where requirements need an innovative design with emerging technologies.
- Assess internal processes for simplification and develop automated solutions with a view to increasing efficiency and reducing support overheads.
What you'll bring
- Microsoft Power Platform Associate Certifications
- Proven experience working in an application delivery focused role
- Experience with Azure Solutions, Power Platform and application development is desirable
- Microsoft Azure Architect Certification is desirable
- Significant experience leading the technical implementation of IT applications in a global organisation.
- Proven track record of delivering Power Platform technologies such as PowerApps, Power Automate or RPA
- Knowledge of Azure-based development using: Azure functions; Logic Apps; Azure App Services; Azure DevOps
- Proven ability to design, implement or debug complex, large-scale applications developed in house or off the shelf solutions.
- Competent with SQL queries primarily focused on Microsoft SQL Server
- Good understanding of, and experience of Agile development practices.
- Proven client-facing skills, for example supporting proof-of-concept development working in close collaboration with business stakeholders.
