Arboriculture Site Supervisor

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Site Supervisor to oversee our arboriculture projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in tree care and management, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to safety and environmental stewardship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage day-to-day operations of arboriculture sites, ensuring all activities are performed safely and efficiently.
  • Lead and coordinate a team of arborists and ground crew, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality work.
  • Plan, schedule, and coordinate daily tasks and projects, allocating resources effectively to meet client expectations and project deadlines.
  • Conduct site assessments and develop project plans, including resource allocation, scheduling, and risk management.
  • Monitor and enforce safety protocols, ensuring compliance with industry standards and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, providing updates and addressing any concerns or requests.
  • Maintain accurate records of site activities, including progress reports, safety inspections, and equipment maintenance logs.
  • Work to LOLER and PUWER legislation

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Experience in arboriculture, including tree care, pruning, removals, and preservation techniques.
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team.
  • Extensive knowledge of tree species, growth patterns, and tree health diagnostics.
  • Proficiency in the use of arboriculture tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, ropes, and climbing gear.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to tree care operations.
  • SSSTS
  • CSCS
  • PTS (Personal Track Safety) would be an advantage.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for client interactions and team coordination.
  • A valid Full UK driving license
