About this Role:

Ambitious Site Manager required to work with the team to build 4 new buildings in a secure facility consisting steel frame and RC frame to provide learning, laboratory and commercial space The scheme is secured and on includes piling, groundworks and structure works. The project duration is in excess of 18 months with handover in August 2026.

Reporting to the Project Manager and Senior Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing all site based construction activities for your areas, including short-term programming of works, health and safety, review of method statements, risk assessments, call off of materials, site logistics, quality control, inspection and test plans, client liaison, coordination meetings, reporting on progress against program, issue resolution, etc, snagging and handover.

About the Company/Client/Project:

The role is with the busy regional office of this leading national contractor with a proven track record in the successful delivery of projects ranging from £15m to £50m in the education, leisure, commercial, higher education, luxury retirement, industrial, MOD and MOJ sectors. Geographical patch focus is Berkshire, South West London, Surrey and home counties.

Workload is secured on a mixture of national and regional frameworks, competitive tenders plus negotiated works with repeat clients. Turnover for the region is circa £80m to £100m, with a high percentage already secured for next year.

With an excellent reputation for training site managers, and the opportunity for progression within the business, the business has a very low turnover of staff, and long term career employees in key management and director positions.

Requirements including certificates and qualifications:

The successful Site Manager will be highly motivated and proactive, demonstrating excellent technical, organisational, man-management and communication skills. A proven track record of work for a top twenty main contractor advantageous.

You will ideally come from a construction management, engineering or trades background, be educated to degree level or similar NVQ level, with a sharp eye for detail and quality throughout. You will be forward thinking and proactive, possessing the ability to plan ahead, identify and resolve issues, work well within a team, see the big picture, with a positive, 'get it right first time' approach.

You will possess your SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid qualifications for this role.
