Your new company
You will be joining a fantastic Primary School in Leigh who are looking to secure a part-time Teaching Assistant to join their team to assist in KS1 and KS2 working mornings only. Hays has worked with this school exclusively for a number of years and has always had positive feedback from staff placed there. The school has an excellent reputation locally and the school is easily accessible from the M6 motorway.
Your new role
As this will be a part-time role, you will be responsible for providing assistance in both group and 1:1 settings to pupils in KS1 and KS2, so, you will need to be flexible to accommodate the needs of the pupils. You will support different classroom teachers with the delivery of curriculum both inside and outside the classroom, whilst also supporting the pupils' well-being. You will also be expected to carry out general classroom duties, supporting the teacher in ensuring all students are able to access tasks and resources. You will become an integral part of the school, joining a team of TA'S who are very experienced and that you will be able to learn from.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. You should be available to start in September and be committed to the role. SEN experience would also be desirable in this role. However, it is not essential and there are no major SEN concerns.
