Description

Responsible for efficient, continuous, and reliable core infrastructure services and end user support. This Engineer works closely with the Director of O&I and peer IT operations technicians, to maintain the organisations diverse technology platforms and end user support programs.

Key Responsibilities are:

  • Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of all networked systems and infrastructure.
  • Collaborate closely with the Cybersecurity team to ensure alignment with the cybersecurity roadmap and compliance requirements.
  • Install, configure, test, and manage operating systems, application software, and system management tools.
  • Utilize Apple DEP, Autopilot, Intune, AD GPO, scripting, and automation best practices to streamline onboarding and reduce manual support tasks.
  • Proactively anticipate staff support needs, troubleshooting issues affecting system uptime and performance, and minimizing repetitive support tickets.
  • Assist additional IT areas, including Database and Website Development teams, to maintain the stability and reliability of the public-facing member web services.
  • Provide senior-level support to key business partners

Profile

The successful candidate will display the following:

  • Skilled in installing, configuring, and troubleshooting Linux and Windows Server with Active Directory in virtualized production environments.
  • Strong expertise in Azure AD and Intune, including managing hybrid on-premises AD integrated with Azure AD.
  • Proficient with virtualization platforms such as VMware, Hyper-V, and VirtualBox.
  • Experienced in using enterprise monitoring tools like New Relic and Orion.
  • Well-versed in deploying and supporting Windows and Linux servers within cloud infrastructures like AWS and Azure.
  • Solid working knowledge of scripting languages, including Ansible, Python, Bash, and PowerShell.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking and VPN fundamentals.
  • Capable of prioritizing and executing tasks effectively in high-pressure environments.
