L3Harris in Tewkesbury and Fleet are part of our ICI division, we work closely with UK Government and Security Agencies primarily in the areas of Crypto/Cyber Security and Electronic Warfare including Counter IED capability.

As a Reliability & Maintainability Engineer you will be passionate about R&M and providing independent and assured R&M advice. You will support the delivery of R&M projects to schedule, quality and budget, whilst meeting client and corporate expectations.

What the role will involve

The responsibilities of your role will include the following:

  • Perform quantitative/qualitative reliability analyses and produce the associated technical reports.
  • Actively engage with system design engineers in the development of new designs/configurations.
  • Support the system and equipment design teams ensuring designs meet reliability objectives.
  • You will be involved in system and equipment architecture development for safety and reliability critical systems.
  • You will provide R&M support to assigned projects and opportunities.
  • Identify RMA shortfalls in system level analysis/design and equipment level predictions as applicable.
  • Participate in system/element design reviews, presentations, and meetings with customer and with other contractors.
  • Liaise with clients and other technical disciplines within the company on R&M issues.

What you'll bring

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or electrical engineering; math; physics; computer science; or equivalent degree.
  • It is desirable that you have membership and active involvement with appropriate R&M organisations is encouraged (e.g. Safety and Reliability Society).
  • Familiarity with PTC Windchill reliability suite tools is desirable
