NEW ROLE - Senior BESS Specialist - £70,000 DOE - UK based
Are you passionate about renewable energy and eager to play a pivotal role in advancing the UK's BESS technology market?
Piper Maddox is currently working with a client leading the way in implementing cutting edge BESS projects who are hiring into their grid scale energy storage department. With over 900MW of confirmed BESS projects and plans to add at least 200-300MW annually from here out, this opportunity presents a chance to grow a division within a company already at the forefront.
As a Senior BESS Specialist, you will be involved in a multitude of energy storage projects from cradle to death, ensuring technical excellence and system optimization. You'll collaborate with suppliers, drive project strategy, and troubleshoot issues on-site and remotely.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare technical specifications and select BESS suppliers
- Review and approve design deliverables
- Optimize asset performance and lifespan
- Act as the technical expert for operational and maintenance teams
- Research emerging storage technologies
Skills:
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, SCADA, and BESS technologies
- Willingness to travel within the UK
- Expertise in grid-scale energy storage and renewable energy projects
- Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering
