Capio Recruitment is delighted to be working with a highly regarded Top 200 law firm to find an experienced and motivated Private Client Lawyer for their growing Lincoln office. **The Role:

As a Private Client Lawyer, you will manage a varied caseload, providing expert legal advice to clients on a wide range of private client matters. This will include advising on wills, probate, estate administration, trusts, powers of attorney, and tax planning. You will be working with high-net-worth individuals, families, and vulnerable clients, delivering a high standard of client service throughout.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a caseload of private client matters, including wills, probate, estate planning, inheritance tax, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Advising clients on the administration of estates, including intestacies and high-value, complex estates.
  • Providing tailored tax and estate planning advice, with a focus on preserving wealth for future generations.
  • Advising on the creation and management of trusts, both lifetime and will trusts.
  • Drafting a variety of legal documents, such as wills, trust deeds, and lasting powers of attorney.
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring that clients receive an empathetic, responsive, and professional service.
  • Working closely with colleagues in other departments, including Court of Protection and Family, to provide comprehensive legal support.

**The Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with experience in private client law. You will have a genuine passion for this area of work and the ability to manage a caseload independently while maintaining excellent client relationships.

You will need:

  • At least 2 years' post-qualification experience in private client law.
  • Strong technical knowledge of wills, probate, tax planning, and estate administration.
  • Excellent drafting skills and attention to detail.
  • Empathy and strong interpersonal skills, with a client-focused approach.
  • Experience advising on inheritance tax planning and wealth preservation.
  • The ability to build lasting client relationships and maintain a high standard of client care.
  • STEP qualification (or working towards) would be advantageous but not essential.
