Location: Selby, North Yorkshire
Salary: MPS/UPS: £30,000 - £46,525 per annum
Contract Duration: September 2024
Contract Type: Full-Time

GSL Education is seeking a qualified Maths Teacher to work within a thriving Secondary School located in Selby, North Yorkshire, starting in September 2024.

Teacher of Maths Responsibilities:

  • Planning and delivering Maths lessons to students based on their individual needs and the curriculum requirements.
  • Encouraging active student participation, fostering critical thinking, and promoting problem-solving skills.
  • Monitoring and assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Follow the ethos and policies of the school, promoting positive behaviour throughout the school.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching strategies and resources that enhance the learning experience.
  • Take part in staff training days, staff meetings and parent's evenings.

Teacher of Maths Requirements:

  • Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a Maths or STEM Degree.
  • Have recent experience teaching Maths to an education setting.
  • Be able to provide 2 professional references, relating to your teaching within the last 2 years (placements will be accepted for ECTs).
  • Be a passionate educator of young pupils with the ability to differentiate tasks for differing levels.
  • You must have an enhanced Child Only DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education. DBS sponsorship is available for this position.
