Key Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for all welding processes, welding qualification and support, NPDI, and audits on site – everything to do with welding will be led and managed by this role.
- Support the quality department with audits both internal and external
- Use your knowledge of TIG welding processes and procedures to ensure they are compliant with the relevant quality standards.
- Help support he engineering team/manufacturing engineers when deciding what tooling needs to be used (approving it and confirming it is suitable), implementing the tooling and improving existing processes.
Key Skills
- A holder of a welding certification - AWS D17.1 WELDING / ASME
- Strong understanding of TIG Welding and welding processes
- Ideally aerospace or power generation (industrial gas turbines)
- NADCAP knowledge desirable, not essential
