We are looking for a proactive Import Logistics Executive with experience of all modes of transport to enhance our busy team.
Hours:
- Monday to Friday 0900-1700hrs
- Salary: £30-£35,000 dependant on experience
Role requirements for an Import Logistics Specialist:
- Proven successful track record of at least two years working for a small to medium sized freight forwarder
- Experience of CNS and Destin8. Our forwarding software is Multi-freight
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills and friendly personality
- Competent using Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Strong and dynamic team player
- Excellent Maths and English skills
Job responsibilities and tasks - Import Logistics Specialist
- Communicating with various customers, suppliers, and sub-contractors such as shipping lines, hauliers and depots
- Raising internal files
- Raising Invoices
- Passing supplier invoices and querying where necessary
- Checking vessel arrivals
- Arranging collections and deliveries, making sure to meet customer deadlines
- Following up after delivery to ensure the customer was happy and find out if there is anything else that we could look after for them
