Customer Sales Advisor

Our client is a highly reputable family business, based in Blackburn, who supplies goods and materials to a wide customer base across the North of the UK. They are looking to recruit a Customer Sales Adviser who is experienced at providing customer service, product advice as well as providing pricing and quotations.

The main purpose of this role is to effectively manage customer sales enquiries and respond to product, pricing, quotations and delivery requests. You will also be responsible for providing excellent and communicative, customer service to all customers and suppliers.

The salary on offer is negotiable - circa £25k - £27k.

As a Customer Sales Adviser, you should be an effective communicator and be able to build good rapport and business relationships with confidence. If you have experience in a similar Sales, Customer Support or Account Management role, and want to join a highly reputable, friendly and driven small team, then this maybe the company for you!

Training will be given to understand the sales process and company products. You should be able to demonstrate that you have skills to adapt to the differing queries from an array of customers. The customer may wish to amend their order, so you will re-quote and chase it up with them. It's a fast paced, ever-changing role which is very interesting and varied.

Main duties and responsibilities:

  • Dealing with enquiries and general customer liaison
  • Preparation of customer quotations and processing of sales orders
  • Provide product information to customers and an accurate price or quote
  • Build knowledge, rapport and trust from your customers
  • Liaise with internal departments and team members, to assist in resolving queries
  • Liaise with external suppliers, 3rd party haulage companies and customers
  • Input accurate information into the in-house CRM system
  • Use MS Word & Excel

The ideal Candidate:

  • High level of customer service skills
  • Previous experience of producing quotes and sales orders
  • Have strong attention to detail
  • Have superb communication skills, be able to work under pressure with an outstanding telephone manner
  • Your prior experience will demonstrate your ability to build strong internal and external relationships and have the ability to work in a fast paced job role
