Introduction:
As Senior European Tax Expert of this innovative multinational company, you will be at the forefront of managing tax risk across Europe. This role will provide oversight, coordination and review of the Tax Managed Service partners, whilst providing a value-added service to stakeholders and customers across the region. This offers a unique opportunity to contribute to strategic tax planning and compliance within a dynamic organizational landscape.
The Role:
- As the Senior European Tax Expert, working with PwC (Tax Managed Service providers), you will oversee adherence to tax regulations across various European jurisdictions - covering all direct and indirect tax requirements.
- Collaborating closely with senior stakeholders and supported by PwC, you will also oversee audit management and provide direction on audit approach, develop tax risk strategies, and contribute to year-end reporting processes.
- Your impact will be felt in evaluating the implications of tax law changes and aligning tax strategies with business objectives.
- Additionally, you will provide guidance and direction, from a tax advisory perspective, for technical and structural business transformation projects.
About You:
- To excel in this role, you will be a qualified accountant with both direct and indirect in-house tax experience across multiple European territories, possessing a strong understanding of jurisdictional tax laws, regulations, and IFRS.
- Your outcome-focused approach, and flexible, proactive attitude to change, will ensure results-driven performance.
- With strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills, you quickly establish credibility with stakeholders at all levels, motivating others towards a common goal.
- Respect for confidentiality and commercially sensitive information is paramount, along with demonstrable organizational skills and project management abilities.
- European language skills would be an advantage but not essential.
