?? About the Role:

We are currently seeking an experienced Accounts/Finance Clerk to join our client's friendly team based in Sheffield. As an Accounts/Finance Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our client's financial operations. If you have a good understanding of accounting principles and practises, including experience of month and year end responsibilities, this could be the perfect position for you! �?

?? Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable efficiently and accurately, processing invoices, payments, and collections in a timely manner.
  • Monitor cash flow, track expenses, and reconcile bank statements regularly.
  • Prepare VAT returns and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Reconcile accounts and proactively chase outstanding arrears and payments.
  • Collaborate with management to create and manage budgets effectively.
  • Prepare financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts.
  • Utilise a powerful ERP system to streamline processes, track financial data, and generate insightful reports.
  • Set up and maintain the chart of accounts, ledgers, and financial modules efficiently.
  • Manage tax filings and liaise with external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards.

?? Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
  • Good understanding of accounting principles and practises.
  • Strong IT and finance system skills, including proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication and attention to detail skills.
