We are working with a new start up business based in London, who are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic founding team. They are creating an AI recruitment platform at will assist with finding the right talent more effectively. The recruitment process is complex and by using this tool, they aim to create a solution that simplifies the journey for candidates and clients.

This business recently raised a $1.5m pre-seed by Tioga Capital, Portal Ventures and some amazing angel investors, and are looking to expand the team and to get the product working for every growing company in the world.

What you'll be doing:

As Senior Software Engineer you'll be a pivotal member of the founding team, entrusted with crafting an exceptional product experience for customers. Your primary focus lies in pioneering the forefront of agent based LLM applications. The business is assembling a dynamic team of versatile individuals. You'll provide considerable influence in all pivotal decisions: from prioritizing critical issues to conceiving practical solutions, executing implementations, conducting thorough testing, orchestrating releases, and ensuring ongoing maintenance. We seek an individual who is pragmatic, proactive, and adept at blending technical expertise with product intuition, seamlessly transforming concepts into minimal yet impactful implementations with rapidity.

Your work will involve mostly full-stack (web) work, and anything related to LLMs: prompt-engineering, vector databases, etc. The tech stack is mostly TypeScript based, but they also use Python and no-code tools wherever it makes sense. They are very keen to adopt new technologies when they're the best fit for the job.

This role is office based in central London and would require you to be in the office 4 days a week for truly collaborative work.

What skills are needed for the role:

  • 4-6 years of experience as a full stack developer at a tech company.
  • Recent experience at an early or growth stage startup.
  • Experience with React / Next, NodeJS and SQL (Postgres).
  • Experience with building features spanning the frontend, backend, and infrastructure.
  • You have a track record that shows ambition and excellence. You've worked on hard problems successfully.
  • You're proud to share cool side project(s).
  • Strong work ethic, and the desire to put in the hours needed to build the product.

Interview Process:

  • Cultural fit interview with both founders (2×30 mins)
  • Take-home tech design test (3h at home, 1h interview)
  • Live coding task (3h in-office or on a call)
  • Reference call
