Job Title: Logistics & Supply Chain Project / Programme Manager

Location – Leeds (3 days per week, 2 days from home)

Salary – £50,000 - £70,000 + bonus and benefits

We are seeking an experienced Logistics & Supply Chain Project Manager to join our client - a dynamic manufacturing business based in Leeds, but operating Globally. This role is pivotal in collaborating with internal teams on projects centred around supply chain and logistics.

Reporting directly to the Head of PMO, the successful candidate will be tasked with facilitating and developing comprehensive project plans. They will work closely with senior stakeholders to drive initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, achieving cost savings through strategic tenders, designing and optimizing networks, establishing standard operating procedures (SOPs), and implementing system enhancements and upgrades.

Key Responsibilities for the Logistics & Supply Chain Project Manager:

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans for supply chain and logistics initiatives.
  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to influence decisions and ensure project success.
  • Apply a strong understanding of logistics, ideally with regional or global experience.
  • Support and lead network design projects to optimize logistics and supply chain operations.
  • Implement cost-saving initiatives within warehousing and transportation.
  • Create and establish standard operating procedures (SOPs), and oversee system updates and automation projects.

Key Skills and Experience Required for the Position of Logistics & Supply Chain Project Manager:

  • Extensive experience in managing supply chain and logistics operations on a regional or global scale.
  • Proven ability to work with and influence senior stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong project management skills with a consistent track record of successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in network design, cost-saving initiatives, and establishing SOPs.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Prince2 or Six Sigma Certification is preferred but not essential.
