Part-time Payroll Assistant | Altrincham area | 20hrs per week
We have a rare Part-time opportunity for an individual with existing Payroll experience to join a well-regarded Retail business. This ecommerce and bricks -and-mortar company is experiencing sustained growth, smashing financial targets and going from strength-to-strength!
There is the option to discuss how the 20 hours are worked over the week, with the only stipulation being the need to work some hours on Fridays. Less than 20 hrs per week will be considered if desired.
Friday is a work-from-home day and any other days will be worked on site.
This role will work closely with the Payroll Manager, taking full responsibility for your own payroll.
Duties:
- Collate, check all payroll data and process payroll
- Administer payroll information relating to new starters and leavers or salary changes
- Manage amendments such as sickness, deductions, statutory payments
- Provide payroll data to HMRC
- Deal with queries received to the inbox
- Provide payroll reports as required
- Other payroll related duties as required
Skills and experience:
- At least 1 year's experience processing payroll
- Good communication skills
- Understanding of the need for confidentiality and integrity
- Good understanding of payroll legislation
- Good systems skills and Excel experience
- Highly organised, deadline focused
- Confident and possessing a 'can-do' attitude.
