Assistant Management Accountant

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
- Support with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
- Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register.
- Prepare and process VAT returns.
- Support in preparing financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders.
- Assist with internal and external audits.
- Provide ad hoc support to the finance team as required.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT, or working towards a professional qualification.
- At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within accounting/finance.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is advantageous).
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with different departments.
