Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, and journal entries.
  • Support with budget preparation, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure discrepancies are investigated and resolved.
  • Assist in maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Prepare and process VAT returns.
  • Support in preparing financial reports and analysis for internal stakeholders.
  • Assist with internal and external audits.
  • Provide ad hoc support to the finance team as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Part-qualified in ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or AAT, or working towards a professional qualification.
  • At least 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within accounting/finance.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (experience with Sage, Xero, or QuickBooks is advantageous).
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise with different departments.
