Monday - Friday - 8.30am - 5.00pm (1hr for lunch)

Salary is dependent on experience

We are currently recruiting for a Payroll Administrator to join our client based in Swindon.

The role includes:

  • Process payrolls on a weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly and monthly basis to client requirements

Following initial training period;

  • Calculate SSP, SMP, SPP etc and advise amount due to clients when required
  • Prepare statutory forms
  • Process payroll and calculate reclaims via PAYE
  • Prepare pension assessments and address actions as required from assessment
  • Issue pension letters and update employee pension portals
  • Upload pension files to pension providers
  • Prepare and submit End of Year returns to HMRC and administer P60s to employees
  • Process P45s and leaver payments, close PAYE schemes when no longer required
  • Respond to enquiries from HMRC and employers
  • Respond to requests and queries from internal accounts department
  • Prepare and process monthly CIS returns based on client instructions, submit to HMRC by required deadline and issue statements for subcontractors
  • Record and deduct CIS, request refunds after year end if due
  • Ensure clients are compliant and up to date with legislation regarding AE and NMW
  • Assist colleagues with workload during busy time and holidays
  • Support client to meet deadlines for PAYE payments

Professional Experience

  • Grade 5 (C) or above in GCSE Maths and English
  • Experience in an administrative role would be an advantage but is not essential
  • Payroll experience is not essential for this role

System Experience

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office package (Word and Excel essential)
  • Experience of using email
  • Confident to learn new payroll and software
