Position: Finance Assistant
Location: Redditch
Salary: £14-£15 per hour Temporary
Hours: Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm / Friday 8am – 1pm
Responsibilities:

- Preparation of weekly and monthly payroll for all employees

Liaise with HMRC regarding all employee related matters

Monitor and ensure compliance with pension auto enrolment

Understand and implement SSP and SMP when applicable
-
Create payments/BACS payment files for PAYE, wages and salary
-
Record daily bank transactions, receipts and payments entered timely to cash book record
-
Enter all PL and SL cash to accounts system in a timely manner
-
Raise all bank payments for approval, sterling and foreign currency

Prepare monthly bank reconciliation
-
Verify and enter purchase invoices to Emax (ERP system) and Opera (accounts system)

Reconcile supplier statements and prepare PL payments list for approval

Import all processed and entered purchase and sales invoices from Emax to Opera
-
Raise sales credit notes and understand procedure from quality dept and returning of goods to stock

Month end closing procedure for PL and SL, including reconciliation to ERP system and various reports prepared by FD

Personnel files and absence records

HR duties...

Undertake any other reasonable activities as directed by the Finance Director
**Qualifications and Skills:
- Experienced in payroll processing
- Experienced in working in an Accounts Department in a similar role
- Experienced in use of Excel
- Attention and passion for detail
- Demonstrable use of initiative
- Excellent communication skills
- Experienced in use of Accounting software
