We are seeking a skilled Relief Chef to join a fresh food hotel located in the heart of Lancaster. This position is ideal for a strong Sous Chef looking for temporary work, with the potential for permanent employment. Please note, there is no live-in accommodation available for this role.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Prepare and cook meals to a high standard, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain smooth operations.
- Manage kitchen stock and place orders as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Adapt to varying menu requirements and guest preferences.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role, preferably in a fresh food environment.
- Strong culinary skills with a passion for creative cooking.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of best practices in kitchen hygiene and safety.
