We are currently working with an outstanding client who are a globally recognized and successful nonprofit organisation, based in West Yorkshire. They have delivered extensive relief globally relieving the suffering of the poor and supporting with water, earthquake, flooding aid. In addition to the extensive support, they deliver to wider communities across the UK.

We are seeking an accomplished and dedicated Head of Fundraising to lead a dynamic team in the strategic planning, execution, and management of our fundraising initiatives. The successful candidate will oversee various fundraising channels, foster partnerships, and implement innovative strategies to drive income generation for our charity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Community Fundraising strategy aligned with the charity's goals, focusing on Community Fundraising, Partnerships, and Events.
  • Collaborate with other departments to identify and disseminate relevant Appeals for fundraising purposes, ensuring effective utilisation by Community Fundraising Representatives, Marketing Directors, and at Events.
  • Recruit, retain, and manage a proficient and agile team within the Fundraising Department nationwide.
  • Strategically manage and oversee the Fundraising Department budget, specifically Community Fundraising and Events.
  • Represent the department in pertinent organisational meetings and maintain a professional presence at community events.
  • Lead efforts in building and nurturing relationships, expanding our donor database, and networking to facilitate sustained growth and donor retention.
  • Develop and conduct training programs to empower departmental staff in line with the overarching fundraising strategy.
  • Explore, evaluate, and manage new income streams for the charity.
  • Develop and execute strategies to maintain robust relationships with donors, ensuring a consistent flow of donations.

Skills and Experience:

Prior experience within a fundraising role and ability to demonstrate results

Proven track record in strategic planning.

  • Strong leadership, managerial, and networking skills.
  • Exceptional communication, organisational, and administrative abilities.
  • Sound knowledge of fundraising best practices and relevant regulations.
