About the Company:
Our client is a well-established Fit Out Contractor with over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, recognized for quality and innovation across London and beyond. They?re looking for a skilled Designer to join their dynamic team, bringing expertise in one or more of these areas: Raised Access Flooring, Partitioning, Drylining, or Suspended Ceilings.
About the Role:
As a Designer, you?ll be integral to the design process, creating precise, efficient solutions to meet project timelines and budgets. Working with a collaborative team, you?ll help ensure all materials are scheduled accurately and projects stay on track.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the technical team to develop detailed drawings for interior fit-outs, focusing on flooring, partitions, or ceilings based on your area of expertise.
- Participate in client meetings to understand design briefs and bring creative, buildable solutions to life.
- Provide valuable input on modern construction techniques, focusing on efficiency, buildability, and cost-effectiveness.
- Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, including other trade designers, and occasionally visit production facilities to assess feasibility.
- Prepare all necessary design documentation, from drawings and technical submissions to schedules.
- Monitor design progress, reporting back to the Design Manager, and making adjustments as needed to meet project requirements.
- Maintain clear records and documentation to track progress and anticipate potential changes.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure the highest design standards.
- Support the tender process by contributing to design budgets, technical reviews, and initial design outlines.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor?s degree in architecture, engineering, or a related field (preferred)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in one or more of the following: Raised Access Flooring, Partitioning, Drylining, or Suspended Ceilings
- Proficiency in CAD, Revit, Inventor, or SketchUp
- Strong understanding of interior construction techniques and materials
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
