Job Title: Patient Movement Porter

Location: Pinderfields Hospital, Aberford Road, WF1 4DG

Shift Pattern: Full Time 37.5hrs/week (Monday-Friday 18:00 - 02:00), Part Time 15hrs/week (Saturday & Sunday 14:00 - 22:00) & 15hrs/week (Saturday & Sunday 18:00 - 02:00)

Pay: £11.45 per hour

What you'll be responsible for:

The Porter will be providing the following support to the Estates & Facilities team.

  • Provide a portering service to all wards & departments. To convey patients by wheelchair, bed or trolley
  • Distribute food trolleys and boxes - and food items
  • Report any suspicious incidents and assist where necessary
  • When required, assist with car parking duties
  • Comply with the health and safety procedures when moving patients/equipment's around the site.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE properly and in accordance with training received.

The skills required are:

  • Must be friendly and approachable
  • Physically fit
  • Presentable
  • A good understanding of spoken and written English.
  • Trained in Manual Handling (preferred)

This role may require you to show evidence of vocational level 3 qualification or at least 2 years relevant experience.
