Food Manufacturing - Dispatch & Production Operative
- Outskirts of South Woodham Ferrers, Essex
- Hours: 15.30pm - Midnight Monday to Fridays
- Must have own transport for this position and be available immediately to start work
- Pay £11.00 per hour / Weekly Pay for you
- Position is Temp to PERMANENT
We are looking for confident workers to join a well-run team of warehouse, dispatch and factory workers!
Duties:
- Must be comfortable working with all types of meats: Lamb Mince / Chicken - Frozen products.
- Fit and healthy : Lifting and moving heavy boxed up & prepared meats.
- Load and unload deliveries from vans.
- Can work in both warm and cold cooking areas.
- Heavy lifting approx. 20kg products constantly.
- Load and unload stock from UK sized pallets within storage areas and inside cold containers.
- Mix spices and herbs with meats for cooking.
- Read manifest sheets and orders.
- Manually load & unload products by hand.
Person Specification:
- Experience of warehouse/factory/production environments.
- Be familiar with basic Health & Safety and Food Safety storage knowledge.
- Good English speaking, reading and writing skills.
- Good eye for detail.
- Follow orders correctly and double check information before proceeding on any actions.
- Good awareness of working areas and following health and safety guidelines.
- Must be comfortable handling lamb, beef, and chicken.
- Heavy lifting is involved - candidates who apply must be fit and able to load and unload heavy goods.
- Own Transport - must have due to the location of the company.
