As an NMS Consolidation Engineer, you will be crucial in planning and delivering against opportunities to right-size my clients Network Management Systems estate. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, software developers, and network operations, to ensure their NMS platform's stability, performance, and security. Your primary responsibility will be ensuring that Engineering teams have a low-friction, highly secure, highly available, cost-effective, and consistent NMS platform
Experience:
- Good understanding of cloud technologies, security, and privacy principles.
- Expert level technical understanding of Network Management Systems, general OSS, BSS as well as technologies including 2G, 3G, 4G, IMS and EPC.
- Experience of managing network management functions - within physical and over cloud ecosystems, with understanding of security, and privacy principles
- Hands-on working experience of Ericsson Network Management and Nokia EMS systems.
- Proven experience in either a design or operations NMS related role, extremely beneficial to have skills in both areas.
- Own to deliver thorough understanding of the user requirements, capability gaps and exploitation opportunities for the given Operations Support systems and do the developments accordingly.
- Self-organizing and ability to pick up the task independently and deliver with minimal guidance around NMS area.
- Proven experience in either a design operations NMS related role, extremely beneficial to have skills in both areas
- Comfortable working as part of team, often with remote team members.
- Working knowledge of Lean and Agile methodologies.
- Experience of similar role(s) within a complex Telco or IT environment - we are open to sectors, but you must have proven success working within a complex matrix
- Experience of using Confluence, Jira and worked across related tools.
- Experience of implementing CI/CD/CT pipelines, with a focus on building shared services across DevOps platforms in a secure fashion.
