Nursery Manager
- Day rate: £200 - £300
- Location: Main Campus, Isleworth
- Job Type: Full-time, 8.30am - 4.30pm
We are looking for a Nursery Manager to provide professional leadership and management for our College nursery. The successful candidate will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of high-quality early years education and care, ensuring the nursery contributes strongly towards the College's aims.
Day to Day of the Role:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the nursery in compliance with early years' legislation, DofE, and Ofsted requirements.
- Act as the designated safeguarding officer and contribute to the cross-college safeguarding committee.
- Oversee Special Education Needs coordination and promote inclusive practices.
- Maintain professional relationships with local authority departments, regulatory bodies, and other agencies.
- Manage recruitment, training, and development of nursery staff.
- Implement nursery policies and procedures, ensuring professional standards are upheld.
- Administer nursery records, manage invoicing, fee collection, and budgeting to ensure sustainability.
- Collaborate with the marketing department to develop materials that promote the nursery.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Relevant degree level qualification or significant experience in a Nursery setting.
- Proven management and leadership experience in nursery settings.
- Excellent knowledge of the current Early Years framework and child development.
- Sound knowledge of legislation, regulations, and Ofsted guidance.
- Experience supporting children with special education needs and disabilities.
- Strong organisational and planning skills, able to work independently to tight deadlines.
- Effective interpersonal skills, able to relate positively to parents, staff, students, and external agencies.
- Experience managing budgets and knowledge of funding within PVI settings.
- Proficient IT skills relevant to the role (e.g., Excel, Word).
