Butler Rose public practice are excited to be supporting a growing accountancy firm in Portsmouth. This is a forward thinking and growing firm who are known for the strong, commercial relationships they build with their clients.

Main Duties:
- Managing a diverse portfolio of limited company, sole trader, and partnership accounts.
- Preparing management and year end accounts.
- Daily, weekly or monthly bookkeeping using primarily Xero (but also other) Accounting software
- Maintaining client records
- VAT returns and Corporation Tax
- Personal Tax
- Responding to client queries, both in person and over email / telephone.

About you:
- With a minimum of 2 years work experience in an Accountancy firm
- Ideally ACCA / ACA qualified but part qualified and nearly qualified candidates will also be considered.
- Who has strong computer skills, including significant experience in Excel
- Who has experience in bookkeeping, VAT returns & year-end accounts preparation
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to speak with clients directly.
