Talent Management / Talent Development Advisor

My Northampton based SME client is recruiting a Talent Advisor to join the HR team in an exciting new role combining Talent Development with Talent Acquisition in the form of recruitment & onboarding activities as well as Talent/Learning & Development. You will provide a combinbation of administrative support as well as proactive, more strategic solutions.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Working with managers & employees to ensure training needs are aligned to business and individual needs.
  • Ensuring courses are booked and the best price and use of resources is achieved.
  • Producing KPIs related to training delivery and budget on a monthly basis.
  • Collation of annual training requests from PDR process and the creation of the annual training plan.
  • Acknowledging ad hoc training requests and managing the budget, need and execution of the training event.
  • Driving the execution of annual PDR process including monitoring & completion, giving advice to managers.
  • With support of the HR and Exec team, delivering Learning and Development activity including collation of training from PDR's & delivery of training against business requirements.
  • Working with managers to ensure job descriptions are accurate and robust.
  • Ensuring all live roles are advertised internally and on appropriate job boards as well as ensuring SLA's are met re: application acknowledgement.
  • Co-ordinate and take part in recruitment for lower level roles, including screening CVs', as well as coaching and assisting managers at interview.
  • Responding to and forwarding applications on to recruiting managers as well as booking and co-ordinating interviews.

To be considered for this role you will have some experience within Learning & Development / Training, where you have held responsibility for aspects of talent including talent management and talent development and ideally some expsoure to recruitment/talent acquisition.

You will have excellent verbal & written communication skills and the ability to build sound relationships with various stakeholders. This role will suit someone with initiative and the desire to make the role your own with the ability to recognise opportunities for development of individulas and groups. You must also be organised and proactive as well as having a flexible approach to do admin versus more long term/strategic activities.

Ideally you will have CIPD level 3/5 in Talent or L&D as well as experience of working with apprentices/the apprenticeship levy.

This business is based in Northampton and offers hybrid working arrangements (2 days onsite).

Salary up to £34,000 per annum
