We are seeking a Finance Business Partner, a strategic finance professional who will work closely with business units to guide informed decision-making. This role is integral to ensuring financial stability and supporting business growth through expert analysis and strategic collaboration.

  • Job Type: Full-time - Initially a 3 months
  • Location: Swindon - Hybrid 3 days in the office
  • Salary: £14.42

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Conduct financial analysis to create a comprehensive picture of the business's financial health.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders, providing updates and advice on financial matters while maintaining meticulous records.
  • Identify potential risks to the business and implement strategies to mitigate them.
  • Contribute financial insights to business strategies and assist in setting and achieving commercial goals.
  • Monitor business performance against financial targets, providing regular reports and actionable insights.
  • Chart of Accounts Maintenance and Buyer administration
  • Entering journals and budget movements into the finance system
  • Performing financial analysis (understand business, variance analysis to understand trends, help create monthly reporting pack, ad hoc reports)
  • Budget maintenance (Identify appropriate budget profiling for cost centres, understand cost drivers, enter budget data, sensitivity analysis)
  • Provision of financial and performance information and advice, creating reports and answering queries
  • Rolling forward monthly data sets for distribution to wider business and external parties
  • Identifying anomalies in data and seeking to suggest appropriate actions for corrections
  • Undertaking ad hoc tasks as reasonably requested, possibly to help in other finance teams, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Expense processing, Financial Controls, Procurement advice.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in financial analysis and strategic planning.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to update and advise key stakeholders on financial matters.
  • Adept at risk identification and mitigation.
  • Experience in developing strategies based on financial insights.
  • Proficient in monitoring performance and meeting financial targets.
  • Relevant financial qualifications (e.g., CIMA, ACCA qualified or part qualified equivalent).
