CMA Executive is delighted to exclusively partner with a rapidly growing, £20m turnover, private equity-backed business headquartered in Newbury to identify a driven and ambitious CFO.

This market-leading company specializes in rental, sales, and service solutions across the UK, boasting over 40 years of experience and an outstanding reputation for exceptional customer service.

The CFO will drive the finance function, focusing on optimizing systems, processes, and reporting. As a member of the Senior Executive Team, the CFO will attend board meetings and take ownership of the entire finance function. The successful candidate will work closely with the leadership team to provide financial insights and support the business in executing its expansion strategy.

What will the CFO role involve?

  • Risk management (with an emphasis on strategic management of debt, working capital, capex – as well as operational management of internal controls and compliance).
  • Financial reporting (high standards of corporate governance, financial and board reporting) including a relatively complex balance sheet.
  • M&A (due diligence, integration, process, structuring) is a key part of the value creation plan.
  • Managing debt facilities including ABL, ID and a cash flow loan.

  • Be a Chartered Accountant, CIMA or similar, with extensive post qualification experience.

  • This role will require candidates with strong leadership and organizational skills with a proven record of building and managing a finance team.
  • Previous experience implementing systems and processes in growing businesses with £20M+ revenue.
  • This role requires demonstrable leadership experience in fast paced, dynamic environments.
  • The successful candidate will have excellent communication and people skills.
